Wall Art Decor with Minted

Hello friends! I’m so excited to share with you my new wall art decor in my living room (aka my second office).

It’s my second office because I find myself sitting in the living room late in the afternoon or in the evenings when I get restless sitting at my desk. My fellow entrepreneurs, can you relate to getting restless working in one spot all day? When I start to lose productivity, I’ll take my laptop and notebook to the living room to work. The top of our coffee table top lifts up towards me and doubles as a workspace. I love that we can also store books and documents under the desk to keep clutter out of sight. The coffee table is fantastic to double as a desk (or a dining table for meals!), you can get this coffee table here with free delivery.

Back to the wall art, I ordered these prints from the amazing fine art store, Minted. When I initially placed an order for this art, I had intended to do an office makeover. Once everything arrived it made sense that these prints would be shown in our living room which was screaming for the decor. The black frames work with the black and white prints and I still want white and light timber frames only in my home office.

Support Independent Artists

Any area of your home that you spend a lot of time in, needs to offer inspiration and allow your creativity to flow. Hanging wall art is a great way for an instant makeover! If you’re after a couple new art hangings to decorate your walls, I highly recommend you check out Minted. Independent artists sell their prints at Minted. When the prints arrived, I loved receiving a bio about the artist who created my new prints.

My Tip for Creating an Art Wall

Make tiny to scale versions of each of the framed prints using colored paper. For example,  the 24” x 18” print of the bull I cut out a piece of paper that was a tenth of that – 2.4” x 1.8”. Repeat this for all of the prints and used these colored pieces of paper on a white sheet of paper to plan the layout. This way you will know where each piece was to go before putting hooks on the wall!
